Sponsorship of the Great Western Harness Club - Summer Camp 2006
Zilco were pleased to sponsor the junior camp of the GWHC recently. Zilco is keen to support newcomers into the sport of driving, and the involvement of youngsters is a vital part of ensuring that driving of all types continues to grow and develop in the future. Driving is a big responsibility for young drivers. A ridden horse or pony can manoeuvre and negotiate relatively easily, but a driven pony is more like a car… it involves team work between driver and helper, a high level of training, technical aspects of correct harnessing and concentration. Many more responsibilities than simply rider and horse! The youngsters on the GWHC managed to combine fun and games at the same time as learning new skills that will put them in good form for future involvement in the sport! Well done all of you!
